I've been on sweet/quick breads kick. Banana, pumpkin, & even guava. I learned a little trick that makes an ordinary sweet bread really special!
You know when you normally grease & flour your pan? See that crusty edge around the loaf? That is the glorious result of butter & sugar instead! Yes! Butter your pan and then use sugar to coat the inside in place of flour!
It makes a sweet, crusty edge around the whole loaf - making each piece your favorite piece!
