Synonymous with excellence in photography, exploration, and knowledge, National Geographic has been a part of my family as long as I can remember. The monthly subscriptions a source of fascination and information since I was a little girl.
Raising curious kids is important to me. The key is exposure to lots of different things & perspectives and giving them having access to lots of materials available for them to find the answers to the questions that their curiosity leads them to. National Geographic is important for both stimulating curiosity and providing answers.
I was recently sent a selection of National Geographic kids leveled readers & super readers. I was excited to offer my kids books that they can read on their own by a name that has been so influential in our lives.
These readers are clearly focused on literacy, visual stimulation, and sparking curiosity. While these are simple readers, they are not fluff. They offer real information and exposure to concepts like making the world a better place and compassion.
There are so many titles available covering the animal world, science, people and history, and nature. There is a book for every question they may have, teaching them to read and about the world around them in a fun way!
